Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee, WI seeks a licensed Physical Therapist for the Rehabilitation Lymphedema Outpatient department. This PRN role offers a schedule 8:00am-4:30pm with weekend coverage every fourth weekend, Sat/Sun.

You will design recovery plans, deliver hands-on therapy, educate families, and mentor PTAs and students to uphold clinical excellence in the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• PT license in Wisconsin required prior to hire date.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Design custom recovery paths through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Deliver hands-on therapy interventions tailored to each patient.
• Educate and involve families in the recovery journey.

Schedule: PRN | 8:00am-4:30; Sat/Sun (1 weekend/ 4 weeks)

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Design Custom Recovery Paths: You’ll perform initial and ongoing assessments, transforming clinical data into a dynamic, evolving plan of care that meets the patient where they are.
• Deliver Hands-On Excellence: Use your technical skills to provide direct therapy interventions, adapting your approach to the unique physiological and emotional needs of each patient.
• Empower Families: Recovery is a team effort. You’ll partner closely with patients and their families, ensuring they are educated, involved, and confident in the journey toward home.
• Lead with Mentorship: Serve as a clinical guide for PTAs, students, and support personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and shared learning across the department.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy (PT) credentialed from the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Examining Board prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
