Job summary

The American Red Cross in Cincinnati, OH is seeking Blood Collection Staff - Customer Service to support the blood donation process. You will connect with donors, work with a team to maintain a welcoming environment, and ensure throughput meets regulatory standards during mobile drives.

The role offers paid phlebotomy training and requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and flexible hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors—listen to their stories and help them understand how impactful their donation is.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so our volunteer donors feel comfortable coming back.
• Be detail-oriented to ensure the blood collected meets goals and regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with set up and teardown at donation sites.
