Job summary

American Red Cross in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Blood Collection Staff-Customer Service to support mobile blood drives and donation sites. You will engage donors, help create a welcoming environment, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance during the collection process.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided. The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights, long hours and variable schedule.
• Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to operate Red Cross vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors to share how donation helps others.
• Create a welcoming and friendly donor environment to encourage return visits.
• Ensure blood collection meets regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites; may drive Red Cross vehicles.
