Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a skilled phlebotomist to support satellite lab operations and main lab transport. You will collect blood samples from adults, pediatrics and infants, and perform tests with strict adherence to procedures.

The role requires focus, accuracy and teamwork. Must demonstrate phlebotomy competency across age groups, manage specimens and document results in the LIS system, with occasional travel to satellite locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; knowledge of LIS systems beneficial.
• Experience drawing from adults, pediatrics and infants.

Responsibilities

• Properly check-in and prepare patients at satellite labs.
• Collect and process blood specimens for main lab transport.
• Perform rapid tests and log results in LIS with accuracy.
• Notify physicians of critical results and document clearly.
• Trains staff on phlebotomy policies and procedures.
• Adapt schedule to meet emergency staffing needs.
