Natera is seeking a Phlebotomist to service the Stony Brook, NY patient service center. The role combines patient blood collection with operations management to support the PSC and phlebotomy program.

Responsibilities include supervising phlebotomy staff, ensuring regulatory and HIPAA compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize patient care and specimen handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 5+ years of high-level customer care and phlebotomy operations management preferred.
• BS/BA degree preferred; Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Licensure requirements may apply depending on state.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test requisitions and discrepancies with orders.
• Identifies patients and obtains blood specimens via venipuncture or finger sticks.
• Maintains specimen integrity using aseptic technique and schedules testing.
• Tracks specimens, updates quality-control logs, and reports KPIs biweekly.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and HIPAA/privacy requirements.
• Oversees PSC phlebotomy operations and supervises staff as needed.
• Manages equipment, travel for stocking, and vendor relations.
• Supports program management and communication across teams.
