Job summary

Natera, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist to serve patients at the San Francisco PSC, performing venipuncture, specimen prep, and QA tasks while overseeing phlebotomy operations. The role includes ensuring compliance, maintaining specimen integrity, and coordinating with physicians and lab leadership.

Candidate must have at least 5 years of phlebotomy experience, strong customer care skills, and willingness to lead a team as growth requires. California licensure requirements apply where required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred, except where regulations mandate.
• BS/BA degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Experience supervising phlebotomy operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test requisitions and resolves discrepancies.
• Verifies patient identification before collection.
• Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and finger sticks.
• Maintains specimen integrity using aseptic technique and follows procedures.
• Tracks collections and maintains daily tallies in Natera system.
• Maintains quality results by following procedures and recording results.
• Ensures safe, compliant working environment and regulatory adherence.
• Oversees phlebotomy program and may supervise other phlebotomists.
• May require travel for stocking supplies.
