Job summary

Natera, a global leader in cfDNA testing, is hiring a Phlebotomist to serve patients at the Stony Brook PSC. The role involves selecting optimal collection methods, preparing specimens for testing, and overseeing the phlebotomy program at the location. Potential oversight of other phlebotomists may arise with growth.

Requires a strong phlebotomy background and compliance with HIPAA/PHI training; state licensing may apply. Travel to stock supplies could be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 5+ years high-level customer care experience.
• Managing/supervising phlebotomy operations and teams experience preferred.
• BS/BA degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred, depending on state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verify test requisitions and patient identity.
• Collect blood specimens by venipuncture and finger sticks.
• Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic technique and SOPs.
• Track collections and logging in Natera systems; report KPIs biweekly.
• Maintain safe, compliant work environment and regulatory standards.
• Assist with phlebotomy program management and staff training.
