Job summary

Natera, Inc. is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist who will serve patients by identifying the best blood collection methods and preparing specimens for testing.

The role also acts as operations manager for the designated patient service center in Tulsa, OK, with potential oversight of other phlebotomists as growth occurs. Responsibilities include certifying specimen quality, coordinating with physicians and laboratories, and maintaining training in HIPAA/PHI privacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 5+ years of high-level customer care experience; supervising phlebotomy operations and teams preferred.
• BS/BA degree preferred; HS diploma required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred, except where regulatory requirements mandate it.
• Previous financial and budgetary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test requisitions and discrepancies.
• Verifies patient identification.
• Obtains blood specimens (venipunctures, finger sticks).
• Maintains specimen integrity using aseptic technique and compliance with procedures.
• Tracks collections and maintains tallies in Natera systems.
• Records results and reports KPIs to leadership biweekly.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance in the work environment.
• Handles escalations and communications with physicians and labs as needed.
• Oversees phlebotomy equipment and PSC operations; may supervise other phlebotomists.
• Travel for stocking supplies and onboarding/training may be required.
• Manages PSC vendors and phlebotomy program distribution and feedback.
