Job summary

Natera is seeking a Phlebotomist to identify the best method for blood collection, prepare specimens for testing, and help manage the PSC phlebotomy program in Houston. The role may supervise other phlebotomists as volume grows and will require HIPAA/PHI privacy training within 30 days.

The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years in phlebotomy, strong customer care skills, and a preference for higher education and certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 5+ years high-level customer care experience; managing/supervising phlebotomy operations and teams preferred.
• BS/BA degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred depending on state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test requisitions by comparing information with orders and requisition documentation.
• Verifies patient by reading patient identification.
• Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
• Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique and following procedures.
