Job summary

B Positive Plasma in Atlantic City seeks a Plasma Center Specialist to support donor screening, phlebotomy, and product integrity under supervision of the Center Manager. You will ensure donor safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities include operating donor qualification instruments, handling samples, managing inventory, documenting activities, and assisting donors with inquiries. Some travel up to 25 miles for training may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (proof required).
• Experience or education in health-related field is helpful.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register donors.
• Administer health history questionnaire to donors.
• Assess and record donor weight and vitals.
• Ensure facility and equipment are clean and maintained per regulations.
• Set up, operate, and maintain donor qualification and donation instruments; perform QC and maintenance.
• Communicate delays and issues to center management and nursing staff.
• Assess inventory; order and restock as needed.
• Document activities and respond to donor inquiries.
• Quarantine and discard unacceptable samples and products.
• Pack, label and ship samples to meet supplier requirements.
• Store products in sub-zero freezer and maintain organization.
• Prepare site and perform phlebotomy; attend to donor needs including reactions.
• Promote customer satisfaction through responsive interactions.
• Report unsafe situations to supervisor.
• Travel up to 25 miles for training or staffing coverage.
