Job summary

B Positive Plasma - Atlantic City is seeking a Plasma Center Specialist to ensure donor suitability, product integrity and donor health through FDA/state SOP compliance. You will greet donors, perform health history intake, monitor vitals, operate donor processing equipment, document QC, and assist with inventory and shipping.

The role requires strong English literacy and attention to safety. Experience in health-related fields and phlebotomy certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior health-related education/experience helpful.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register donors
• Administer health history questionnaire to donors
• Assess and record donor weight and vitals
• Ensure facility and equipment are clean and maintained according to regulations
• Set up, operate, and maintain instruments for donor qualification and donation and for processing of samples
• Document quality control and report equipment issues
• Communicate delays to center management, nurse and/or other parties
• Assess supply inventory and restock as needed
• Document activities and issues
• Answer donor inquiries
• Read, write, and understand English
• Document maintenance activities when necessary
• Quarantine and discard unacceptable samples and products
• Pack, label and ship samples and products to meet suppliers’ requirements
• Store products in and maintain organization of large walk-in sub-zero freezer
• Prepare site and perform phlebotomy
• Attend to donor’s needs including donor reactions
• Promote customer satisfaction through appropriate interaction
• Report unsafe situations or conditions to supervisor
• Travel up to 25 miles to other facilities for training or staffing needs
• Other duties, as assigned
