Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC and in-office PST duties. You will interact with clients, patients and PathGroup staff, performing venipuncture, specimen collection and processing with accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, documenting information in PathConnect, labeling and handling specimens, and maintaining records while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred (required in Louisiana).
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and treat them with courtesy.
• Collect and process specimens according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection to patients.
• Enter patient and billing information accurately in PathConnect.
• Label, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for transport.
• Maintain logs and documentation for PSC/IOPST.
• Adhere to safety, privacy, and compliance policies.
