Job summary

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certificate program with internship of 100 venipunctures.
• Alternate: 6 months phlebotomy experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture or capillary blood collection with proper technique.
• Registers patients and verifies demographics and insurance details.
• Prepares specimens for transport and maintains records.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures.
• Follows infection control procedures and standard precautions.
• May visit patients at their home for specimen collection.
• Performs waived laboratory tests as allowed by policy.
