TriCore Reference Laboratories in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for an hourly role with a Tue-Fri/Weekend schedule. The candidate must be capable of independent work, with the ability to perform multiple modalities and maintain patient care standards.

Immunization and professional certification requirements apply; apprenticeships may be offered to non-experienced applicants.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent is required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a CLA program or comparable training is preferred.
• Immunization requirements: Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination, or waiver; PPD documentation within 90 days or via TriCore.
• Direct patient contact will require rubella, rubeola and varicella immunity.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; insurability per location.
• Eligible to work in a health care facility under NM screening acts.

Responsabilités

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibit basic problem solving skills to ensure exceptional customer and patient care service levels.
• Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities as assigned, including on-call responsibilities during scheduled hours by location.
• Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Participates in coverage for holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Perform clerical functions as needed, including documenting critical communications such as call-ins.

Formation

H.S. diploma or equivalent

PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification

Completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program
