Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories seeks a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for Santa Fe PMG. The role requires independent work with potential apprenticeship for less-experienced candidates.

Schedule includes weekdays with rotating Saturdays and on-call duties, and a focus on accurate specimen collection and patient care. Minimum education is a high school diploma; preferred credentials include PBT (ASCP) and CLA program completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum education includes a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred CLIA certifications such as PBT (ASCP) or equivalent.
• Completion of a CLA program is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties professionally and courteously in patient and client interactions.
• Maintain departmental supplies and inventory for operations.
• Observe students and new staff as needed.
• Demonstrate good judgment in client and coworker interactions.
• Handle on-call responsibilities and hospital communications as assigned.
• Document critical communications such as call-ins when supervisor absent.
• Maintain confidentiality of personal and sensitive information.
• Support holiday, evening, and weekend coverage as required.
• Perform basic clerical tasks including data entry and recordkeeping.
