Job summary

TriCore is hiring a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist in Santa Fe. The role supports multiple modalities and offers potential for advancement through different CLA levels.

Regular in-person attendance during scheduled hours is essential, with paid apprenticeship consideration for candidates with no prior experience. Location is Santa Fe with a schedule that includes Tue-Fri 0700-1600 and Sat 0800-1700, plus on-call and holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Basic PC skills and ability to document accurately.
• Eligible to work in a health care facility as per NM Caregivers Act or other applicable law.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred; completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory for department operations.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Handle hospital communications and on-call responsibilities.
• Demonstrate professional judgment when dealing with clients and co-workers.
• Document critical communications and actions when supervisor is absent.
• Protect confidentiality of information and patient data.
• Participate in on-call coverage to meet service levels.
• Attend scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
