TriCore Reference Laboratories in New Mexico is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for floating outpatient duties. The role requires independent work with minimal supervision and adherence to high patient-care standards.

Minimum education is a high school diploma; ASCP certification is preferred. The position offers on-site work with on-call responsibilities and opportunities for apprenticeship for those without experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Exhibits basic problem solving skills to ensure patient care and service levels.
• Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities, including on-call by location.
• Participates in on-call coverage for holidays, evenings, and weekends.
