Job summary

TriCore in Española, NM is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist to join our lab team. You will perform phlebotomy and related processing with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Compensation depends on modalities performed, and an apprenticeship track may be offered for candidates with less experience. The role requires regular in-person attendance during scheduled hours, with shifts including weekends and evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits professional judgment when dealing with clients and coworkers.
• Maintains confidentiality of personal and confidential information.
• Participates in on-call coverage and holiday/weekend rotations as needed.
• Performs clerical tasks such as documenting critical communications when needed.
