Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist who can work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will perform one or more modalities and may enter a paid apprenticeship if no experience is present. Regular in-person attendance during scheduled hours is essential.

The role requires HS diploma or equivalent, and preferred PBT/ASCP certification. Immunization against Hepatitis B is required or waived.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; PBT ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Immunization against Hepatitis B required or waived or provide waiver.
• Eligible to work in a health care facility as per state law.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and related patient care duties with accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintain supplies and inventory for departmental functions.
• Assist with on-call coverage and holiday/weekend coverage as needed.
• Handle clerical tasks including documentation and call-ins when supervision is unavailable.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
