Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Elizabeth, NJ. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods for all ages, specimen handling, and accurate data entry.

The schedule includes multiple days and one Saturday per month. Candidates should have a high school diploma, and either 1+ year phlebotomy experience or a certified training program. Excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred.
• Experience as a phlebotomist is required (1+ year).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Handle occasional administrative tasks and travel to additional sites.
