Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist in Elizabeth, NJ to perform venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages, ensuring accurate data entry and patient care. The role includes collecting specimens for various tests and providing excellent service in a fast-paced setting.

You will work at Patient Service Centers or client offices, handle billing tasks, and travel to additional sites as needed. Requires HS diploma and 1+ year phlebotomy experience; phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency is required in lieu of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
