Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team in Newark, NJ. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm and rotating Saturdays.

As a Phlebotomist you will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for drug screens and other tests, enter patient data accurately, process billing information, and provide superior customer service. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
