Job summary

Labcorp in Vernon, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Responsibilities include blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen handling, data entry, and delivering excellent patient service at a patient service center or client office.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with rotating Saturdays; pay range is $17.75–$24 per hour. Benefits are available to eligible employees with growth opportunities within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
