Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a clinical lab assistant program preferred.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory for departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Demonstrates basic problem solving to ensure patient care levels.
• Handles hospital communications and on-call responsibilities by location.
• Exhibits effective telephone and verbal communication.
• Uses professional judgment when dealing with clients and staff.
• Performs clerical tasks and documents critical communications as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Supports on-call coverage and holiday/weekend scheduling.
• Maintains basic PC skills.
