Job summary

TriCore is New Mexico’s largest laboratory, offering extensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth. The Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist role supports multiple modalities and provides patient care with attention to safety and accuracy.

Regular in-person attendance, on-site at the PRMC Hospital Lab, is required. This hourly position may include paid apprenticeship for candidates with limited modality experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibit basic problem solving skills to ensure exceptional customer and patient care service levels.
• Participate in coverage for holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed or required.
