Job summary

Labcorp in Belleville, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. This casual/PRN role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all ages, data entry, and providing courteous patient service.

You will draw specimens for lab testing, travel to additional sites as needed, and participate in billing and clerical duties. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of phlebotomy experience; a formal certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
