Job summary

Labcorp in Watchung, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. This casual/PRN position involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, specimen handling, data entry, and providing patient-centered service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and 1 year of experience (2+ preferred). Pay ranges from $17.75 to $24.00 per hour, with benefits for eligible staff; travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
