Job summary

Labcorp in Linden, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team on a casual/PRN schedule. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for various tests, and provide accurate data entry and patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience; certification or accredited training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency if no experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
