Job summary

Labcorp in Maplewood, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, process specimens for testing, and ensure accurate data entry and reliable customer service.

This casual/PRN role requires a high school diploma or GED, and 6 months or more phlebotomy experience; certification from an accredited program is acceptable. Travel to other sites in the region may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
