Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist I to provide accurate venipuncture and specimen processing in a fast-paced inpatient setting. You will identify patients, prepare specimens, and work closely with lab staff to ensure timely testing and reporting.

The role requires one year of phlebotomy or related experience, a NAACLS-accredited phlebotomy program, and proficiency with EPIC and LIS tools. Schedule is full-time with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of a NAACLS accredited phlebotomy program.
• One year of phlebotomy, and/or specimen processing experience required.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures per policies, including timed specimens, blood cultures, pediatric and neonatal samples.
• Identifies patients and labels specimens according to policy.
• Prepares and processes laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
