Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist I to provide quality, customer-oriented lab services, including registration, specimen collection, and processing. You will perform venipuncture, maintain equipment, and communicate with staff and external contacts to support patient care.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED plus a NAACLS phlebotomy program. ASCP certification is preferred, with weekday schedule and rotating weekends/holidays for comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a NAACLS accredited phlebotomy program.
• Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and processes specimens per policy.
• Identifies patients and labels specimens accurately.
• Maintains equipment and supports registration and EPIC tasks.
