Boston Medical Center in Massachusetts is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipunctures and support laboratory processes across inpatient and outpatient populations. Schedule: 40 hours, overnight, every other weekend, 9pm–5:30am.

Responsibilities include LIS registration, specimen collection, processing, and send-outs, with microbiology duties as needed. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy training preferred and certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, ASCP certification/eligible preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lab Registration: Register and order specimens into LIS; verify and enter patient, test, and information; generate labels.
• Specimen Collection: Perform phlebotomy on inpatient and outpatient populations; monitor workflow.
• Specimen Processing/Send-Outs: Process specimens including centrifugation, labeling, and sending to reference labs.
• Microbiology: Maintain inventory and records; ensure proper media and incubation where applicable.
