Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to support routine laboratory processes across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will perform venipunctures, register and label specimens, and ensure accurate processing under established policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, phlebotomy training, attention to detail and strong communication with lab clients; overnight shifts with every-other-weekend are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, ASCP certification/eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lab Registration: registers and orders specimens into LIS and prints labels.
• Specimen Collection: perform phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients.
• Specimen Processing/Send-Outs: prepare and send specimens to referral labs.
