Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is hiring for a full-time donor center position in Missouri. You will support venipuncture, plasmapheresis, and donor care while ensuring compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 months in healthcare, strong customer service, and the ability to work varied shifts. You will operate plasmapheresis equipment, maintain accuracy in labeling and documentation, and help keep the center clean and efficient to deliver safe,

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • State-specific certification or licensing as required.
  • 3+ months in medical/healthcare setting or equivalent.
  • Training documents completed before duties performed.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal protocols.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Accurate and complete documentation.
  • Ability to read/interpret safety regulations and manuals.
  • English reading/writing/speaking required.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments with interruptions.
  • Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility.
  • Ability to perform venipunctures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operation complies with state/federal regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
  • Maintain high levels of customer service and donor experience.
  • Keep work area clean and professional.
  • Verify donor identification and confidentiality.
  • Set up equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis.
  • Label units/samples accurately.
  • Perform venipunctures and plasma collection to high quality/safety standards.
  • Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms.
  • Monitor donor safety and plasma product quality.
  • Monitor safety of donors and ensure donor comfort.
  • Disposal of biohazardous waste and cleaning spills.
  • Calibrate/maintain plasmapheresis equipment daily/weekly/monthly.
  • Report unsafe conditions to management.
  • Maintain inventory and replenish supplies.
  • Support training efficiencies and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform QC.
