Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. in the United States is seeking staff to support plasma donation operations. You will help ensure regulatory compliance, provide excellent donor service, and maintain a clean, safe environment for collection procedures.

You will set up venipuncture and plasmapheresis equipment, monitor donor safety, and handle samples with care. Strong customer service, basic computer skills, and willingness to work varied shifts are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • State-specific certification or licensing may be required.
  • 3+ months healthcare experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Documentation of training completed prior to duties.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal protocols.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Accurate documentation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions.
  • Reliability and punctuality required.
  • Willingness to work daytime/evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
  • Venipuncture ability required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operations comply with FDA/OSHA/CLIA/GMP and maintain high production standards.
  • Maintain high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
  • Keep the work area clean for a professional environment.
  • Review and confirm donor identification and confidentiality.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis.
  • Label units and samples accurately.
  • Perform venipunctures and plasma collection with high quality and safety.
  • Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms/donor events.
  • Monitor donor conditions to ensure safety and plasma quality.
  • Maintain proper ratio for donor safety and product quality.
  • Disconnect donor and dispose of biohazard waste; clean spills.
  • Perform calibration/maintenance of plasmapheresis machines.
  • Report unsafe situations to management.
  • Maintain stock of inventory and replenish supplies.
  • Drive training efficiencies for timeliness and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform QC daily/monthly.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
