Job summary

One Medical in San Francisco’s West Portal office seeks a Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant to deliver compassionate patient care, perform venipuncture, and provide essential clinical and front-office support. You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming, on-brand experience and accurate scheduling and intake.

This role blends lab skills with administrative duties, including specimen labeling, processing, insurance questions, basic EKGs, vitals, and coordinating

Qualifications

• 6 months of relevant Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist experience
• Active phlebotomy certification to practice in CA
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency with multiple software systems and internet navigation
• Experience collaborating in diverse teams (remote teams a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Use C-I-CARE in all patient interactions to ensure positive in-office experience
• Provide venipuncture services across age groups
• Assist with extended scope duties (EKG, vitals, vaccines, swabs)
• Label, handle, and process specimens reliably; manage inventory and sterilization
• Assist with lab cases, billing inquiries, and DOH reporting
• Perform front-of-house tasks: check-in/out, insurance verification, forms
• Support providers and virtual team with clerical duties
• Open/close office, restock supplies, and maintain space appearance
