Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains clearly the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection as required.
• Matches requisition forms to specimen tubes and labels correctly.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures.
