Key People seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The position covers multiple Montgomery County, MD locations with 1st shift hours, Mon-Fri, and varying start times. The assignment is projected for 3 months, with possible extension or permanence.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling, centrifugation, data recording, and proper specimen handling per protocol. Requires certification and prior venipuncture experience.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure matches between requisitions and specimen tubes and package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens by required temperatures and follow protocol for transport.
