Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role across Montgomery County, Maryland. The position operates on a float basis with 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm, EOS 8am-12pm.

The assignment is planned for approximately 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Candidates must hold a valid phlebotomy certification and have hands-on blood collection and specimen processing experience, with safety standards followed.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package and transport specimens per protocol.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and attend annual trainings.
• Match laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes.
