Accounting Search is seeking a Phlebotomist in Ashland, OR for a contract role with potential for permanent hire. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm, off every other Friday. Projected duration: 3 months with potential for perm. Job code: CVDJP00035776.

The phlebotomist will perform blood draws, label and transport specimens, ensure accuracy of requisitions, and maintain patient information while complying with OSHA and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate work areas and update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients.
• Package and transport specimens as required.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer calls and read lab results as needed.
