Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Ashland, OR. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with every other Friday off, and offers benefits.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, and maintaining accurate patient data while ensuring compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations. Prior phlebotomy experience and a valid certification are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen labeling.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain data.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package and transport specimens per protocols.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
