Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Phlebotomist in Ashland, OR, for a contract position with a 3-month duration and potential for permanent hire. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm, with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, data recording, and ensuring specimen integrity and safety in accordance with regulations. Experience and certification requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required in some states.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data, decontamination, and patient information updates.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique with needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and package specimens for transport.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of specimens and compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations.
