Confident Search Consultants in Newberg, OR seeks a Phlebotomist to support patient care through blood draws and specimen processing. This 3-month contract offers potential for permanent placement and benefits.

Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm plus rotating Saturdays (one every 4-5 weeks). Responsibilities include venipuncture, labeling, processing specimens, and ensuring accurate data entry while adhering to OSHA standards and patient communication.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed, as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrates technique with straight or butterfly needles; matches requisitions to tubes and packages specimens for transport.
• Stores specimens at required temperatures and ensures correct labeling; adheres to OSHA/DEP regulations and attends trainings.
• Answer inquiries and relay laboratory results as needed.
