Key People is seeking a Phlebotomist in Newberg, OR for a contract role with potential for permanent conversion. The position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm with rotating Saturdays approximately once every 4–5 weeks. Benefits are available.

The Phlebotomist will perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and ensure accurate data entry and transport according to lab protocols and safety regulations. A valid certification and COVID-appropriate training may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles or butterfly needles.
• Ensure all test requisitions match the specimen labels and transport requirements.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer telephone inquiries and relay results as needed.
