Job summary

Ron Sunshine Associates LLC in Newberg, OR is seeking a contract Phlebotomist (Code 6042) with M-F 7am-3:30pm plus rotating Saturdays. This 3-month contract offers potential for permanent placement and benefits.

The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and data maintenance while ensuring proper transport and OSHA/ DEP compliance. Valid phlebotomy certification and 6 months venipuncture experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to protocol; follow OSHA and DEP regulations.
