Essenti Talent is seeking a Phlebotomist (Contract) in Newberg, OR. The position requires performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper handling and documentation in a fast-paced lab setting.

The role includes standard phlebotomy duties, adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations, and coordination with clinical staff. Schedule is Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm with rotating Saturdays; contract duration around 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High school diploma or GED; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain proper storage conditions.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures to patients clearly and courteously.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimen tubes and labels; verify accuracy.
