LRSolutions, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist in Newberg, OR for a contract role with a Monday–Friday shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm and rotating Saturdays. The position is 3 months with potential for permanency, and benefits are available.

The role involves phlebotomy duties, specimen handling, data recording, and adherence to OSHA regulations. Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring accurate test requisitions.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrates technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Ensures test requisitions match specimens and labels; packages specimens for transport.
• Stores specimens at required temperatures and adheres to transport protocols.
• Complies with OSHA and DEP regulations and attends annual trainings.
• Answers telephone inquiries and communicates laboratory results as needed.
