Job summary

RRC Solutions Group is seeking a Phlebotomist in Shelby, NC for a contract position with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is typically M-F, with a 7:30 am to 4:30 pm shift.

The role requires phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and handling specimens, data entry, and ensuring specimen integrity per protocol.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and butterfly needles as required.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, and freeze specimens per test order.
