The Recruiting Hive in Shelby, NC is seeking a contract Phlebotomist (ID 5984) to support a 3-month project with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year of venipuncture experience and a current phlebotomy certification; benefits are available. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, centrifugation, maintaining accurate patient and lab data, and ensuring proper specimen

Competenze

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum 1 year of experience performing venipunctures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Mansioni

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to procedures and explains venipuncture process clearly.
• Demonstrates technique with straight and butterfly needles as required.
• Matches lab requisitions to specimens, labels, centrifuges, and tests orders.
• Checks test requisitions for 100% accuracy and packages specimens for transport.
• Stores specimens per required temperature and follows transport protocols.
• Attend annual department trainings and answer inquiries from callers.
