United Future is seeking a Phlebotomist in Shelby, NC for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with benefits available.

Requires a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and ensuring proper handling and documentation while adhering to OSHA and DEP regulations.

Qualificações

• Phlebotomy certification required where applicable
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital
• High School Diploma or GED; 1 year experience preferred

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Match requisitions to specimens and properly label, centrifuge, and freeze as required.
• Pack specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature control.
• Attend annual department trainings and respond to inquiries by phone or results.
